VIQU Southampton Opens For Business

My board and I launched VIQU in October 2014 with the shared vision of building an IT & Cyber recruitment company with a people centric approach, aimed at delivering only the highest levels of customer service and delivery. This vision included the launch of further UK and International offices.

When we decided to launch our second ‘home’ in the UK, we were united in our choice to do this in Hampshire. Collectively, there are 80,000 employers in the Hampshire Economic Area with 820,000 employee jobs and a £41bn annual value of economic output. Between 2006 and 2026, around 90,000 additional jobs will have been created, of which three-quarters of these will be in business services (including IT & Cyber), public administration or leisure and tourism. However, the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has reported the skills shortage in the region has reached critical levels. Of the IT & Cyber employers hiring, the percentage of companies reporting recruitment difficulties has risen to 71%, the highest since records began.

VIQU intend to make a positive impact, so in addition to sourcing candidates and contractors from the region, we believe Hampshire is a strong proposition for experienced IT & Cyber professionals to relocate, helping to support the region’s skills shortage. VIQU’s approach is to positively promote the benefits of living in Hampshire, the improved quality of life, good schooling, low crime figures and earnings that are one third higher than the UK average.

Pivotal to VIQU providing the highest levels of customer service and delivery, is strong leadership and that’s why VIQU Southampton will be managed by industry expert Vinay Sonchatla. When we decided to launch VIQU Southampton, there was no better candidate than Vinay, he has been a true friend of 13 years and one of the most driven and passionate IT & Cyber recruiters I’ve worked with during my career. Vinay will be supported by three experienced colleagues and I have no doubt the team will work diligently to deliver only the highest standards demanded by VIQU.

We’ve been made to feel very welcome by our new friends in Hampshire and are very proud to call it VIQU’s latest home.
