VIQU have partnered with an independent gaming company who have an exciting opportunity for a Junior C++ Developer to join their growing team.

For the successful Junior C++ Developer, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone early on in their career, and the perfect environment to develop and harness their skills within development. The team takes pride in fostering progression, providing a clear and defined career path.

Unique to this organisation, the successful Junior C++ Developer will be given the autonomy to work on their own greenfield projects, seeing out the development life cycle from conception to release; being supported by experienced and talented developers.

The games themselves have a strong statistical element so a background in mathematics or sciences may be beneficial (STEM).

About the Junior C++ Developer role:

• Developing games end-to-end in C++ using Visual Studio
• Liaising with other teams and working in an agile environment – communication is key
• Working as part of a small team, there is opportunity for progression

Key skills and experience:

• Experience with C++ development
• A degree within Computer Science, Mathematics, or Sciences (STEM) andor commercial experience or a background of open-source contributions
• Experience with Visual Studio useful
• Familiarity with Git an advantage
• Desire to work on graphics intensive projects

• Working hours: 37.5 hour working week with flexible working hours
