EPR Programme Manager (Cerner)

EPR Programme Manager (Cerner) / £400 per day / Outside IR35 / Long term contract

VIQU are working with an NHS Trust who have an immediate requirement for a Programme Manager to work with workstream leads on the deployment of an EPR programme. As Programme Manager you will be responsible for the programme plans, managing risks and issues, communications and ensuring the right engagement from across the Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for: 1) confirming technology delivery plans in dialogue with all key stakeholders and partner organisations; 2) leading detailed planning for the programme(clinical models, design requirements, change planning etc) across a range of services; 3) delivering key strategic and transformational changes; and 4) ensuring that robust programme management arrangements are in place

To be successful in your application you must have had prior experience of implementing/upgrading EPR/EHR systems within the NHS

Key responsibilities

  • Lead frontline user groups through a varied and complex portfolio of changes in support of the redevelopment programme; clearly define and document future service models (including design requirements, transition plans, activity assumptions etc) to inform the work of the clinical transformation and all other work-streams for the EPR programme
  • Prepare and manage project plans for changes in service delivery, in close dialogue with clinicians and administrative staff concerned and with the aim of minimising disruption to patients, staff and visitors
  • Develop credibility within the Trust in order to persuade, influence and affect change at senior executive and management levels and ensuring that view of patients and frontline staff are fully considered
  • Ensure that both capital and revenue cost implications of the programme are fully explored and accurately represented within future plans, overseeing significant programme budgets and ensuring that changes are delivered on time and in budget
  • Establish and implement project monitoring and control processes to ensure all change programmes plans for which the post-holder is responsible remain within target tolerances.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues, interpreting applicable local and national guidance as appropriate and in close liaison with frontline service teams.
  • Ensure that robust governance arrangements are in place for all changes and that there is a clear audit-trail for decision-making.
  • Follow best practice in maintaining programme / project documentation, ensuring that appropriate PRINCE2 (or similar) methodology underpins all projects.
