End User Computing Engineer

End User Computing Engineer – Coventry / Hybrid - £55,000

We’re partnered with a well known household brand who is going through a really exciting period of transition and growth within their IT Service Operations division due to insourcing their technology function. They’re building a new End User Computing specialist team which will have 4 talented engineers that are accountable for the availability, reliability and maintenance of the modern workplace technology stack across the enterprise infrastructure and business of more than 7000 employees.

Working in a hybrid model - the End User Computing Engineer will be based out of a brand new office, in Coventry which has all of the modern perks including an onsite gym, 2 days a week and have the flexible to work remotely.

As the End User Computing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Laptops, desktops, mobiles and tablets
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager suite
  • Packaging, software builds and task sequences, delivered following rigorous and repeatable test processes
  • Active Directory, GPO, sites and services integration
  • Hardware and software product lifecycle management.
  • Microsoft 365 Integration
  • Operating systems support, application patching and maintenance.

Essential Experience required for the End User Computing Engineer:

  • Proven track record within IT within an enterprise infrastructure environment
  • 3 years + experience configuring, implementing, supporting and developing complex solutions
  • Deep technical understand of the following:

ü Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager suite (config mgr, CMG, Intune, autopilot)

ü Azure AD and Cloud Management Gateway integration

ü Windows 10 build automation, image management, including task sequences, driver integration, application testing and troubleshooting

ü Microsoft 365 build integration, maintenance and refresh

ü Active Directory, GPO and AD sites and services integration with config manager boundaries

ü Packaging skills, AppV knowledge, MSI, AppX

  • Good understand of service operations and ITIL Certified
  • Excellent communication and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
