Our client, who was voted as one of the best companies to work for, are looking for a Data Technical Architect to join their growing team. This role would be hybrid, with occasional travel to either their Birmingham or London office (whichever is closer to your destination).

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of technical aspects of data solutions, in conjunction with clients and Solution Architects.

  • You will effectively employ both functional and non-functional designs
  • You will need to estimate the effort, delivery timelines, resources, technical implications and complexity of a project and articulate that to technical and non-technical stakeholders while owning the entire solution.
  • As a Data Technical architect leadership will be required to a technical team, in order to solve challenging problems collaboratively, while monitoring performance and guiding career development.
  • You will be responsible in Data ingestion, streaming, architecture, estimation, planning of the product as well as story creation

Essential Experience to be successful as a Data Technical Architect:

  • Must have more than 6 years proven track record within a similar role with development / programming as a foundation
  • Must have hands on experience in Java, Scala and Python, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Databricks to name a few
  • Apache / Hadoop / Kafka and any other programming tools that is used in a data driven environment is highly beneficial
  • Full ownership of technical components, sub-systems or products within the Data space as well as the entire architected solution
  • Proven track record in design, development, integration, automation and testing operational readiness of data systems as well as deployment
  • Data store experience (key value store, document stores, object stores search, RDBMS, graph etc)
  • Solid Experience with data warehouse and integration methods and techniques (messaging, queuing, virtualisation)
  • Qualifications and Certifications in Data is highly beneficial
