C++ Developer – Permanent – Central Birmingham - £45,000 - £60,000

VIQU have partnered with an independent gaming company who have an exciting opportunity for a C++ Developer to join their growing team.

For the successful C++ Developer, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level. The team takes pride in fostering progression, providing a clear and defined career path.

Unique to this organisation, the successful C++ Developer will be given the autonomy to work on their own greenfield projects, seeing out the development life cycle from conception to release; as well as collaborating and working with a highly experienced and creative team.

The games themselves have a strong statistical element so a background in mathematics or sciences may be beneficial (STEM).

About the C++ Developer role:

• Developing games end-to-end in C++ using Visual Studio
• Liaising with other teams and working in an agile environment – communication is key
• Working as part of a small team, there is opportunity for progression

Key skills and experience:

• Strong C++ development skills
• Desire to work on graphics intensive projects
• Experience of testing process and resolving issues
• Familiarity with Git an advantage
• You will have a degree, or strong commercial experience / open-source contribution
• You may have a background in mathematics or sciences

• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE
• Working hours: 37.5 hour working week with flexible working hours
