Backend Developer - JAVA

Senior Java Developer – Leeds/ Hybrid - £50,000 to £60,000.

We have partnered with an organisation that are seeking to recruit for a Senior Java Developer to join the organisation’s team within a fast paced and energetic working environment. The Senior Java Developer will be integral for the business in developing and building reliable, efficient, and measurable end to end applications.

The Senior Java Developer will lead a team of 3 developers and be on an on-call router where you will be on-call for 1 week every 3 weeks, and this will allow you to earn additional pay. The Senior Java Developer will have the opportunity to have funding for various cloud/ programming languages certifications.

Requirements of the Senior Java Developer:

• 5+ years’ experience working in Java.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
• AWS Cloud Expereince
• Proven knowledge working with Object Oriented application pattern.
• Understanding into feature toggles and how to do end point version control to deploy non-breaking backwards compatible software change.
• Desirable to have prior experience with Node.JS

Responsibilities of the Senior Java Developer:

• Write effective, clean and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
• Working in an Agile team.
• Comply with data protection and Security standards
• Cooperate with Technical Architects to design performant solutions that are cost effective.
• Mentor Junior Developers and support Senior Developers
