We are working with one of the UKs leading distributors to grow their technical division by hiring a SQL Server DBA / Developer. The business has gone from strength to strength in the last 12 month and their growth has warrant growing their Data and Business Intelligent team. The SQL DBA will be joining a dynamic team using state of the art technology.

As the SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for handling and optimising SQL code, deliver business intelligence, maintaining and creating data integrations between systems and servicing customer data requests and integrations. This is an exciting role where you will help define the roadmap for change within a company that is investing heavily in new technology.

SQL DBA, responsibilities:

  • Supporting day to day activity, maintaining SQL database assets, improving business intelligence and implementing projects
  • Ensure high availability of business-critical systems improving our resilience, RTO and RPO over time.
  • Suggest processes and technologies to improve our control, implementation and delivery of business intelligence across the company
  • Documenting, maintaining, rationalising and continually improving database servers, queries, views and stored procedures to optimise business performance

Essential Experince:

  • Proven track record as a SQL Database Administrator / SQL Developer within a highly available environment
  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, with other programming languages beneficial
  • Strong technical background with backups, restores, server performance, managing indexes, replication, high availability and clustering
  • SQL certifications
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
