Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Overview:

We are supporting a tight knit data security consultancy who requires a reliable and efficient individual with proven project coordinator experience to join their team and support their Project Manager to contribute to the repeatable success of projects, programmes and professional services. This role has everything a young individual may require to become a Project Manager in a few years, if you have a desire to move into a PM role in a business that places great emphasis on learning and development, apply today. To start there will be little customer/ client interaction and as time goes on, you will slowly be integrated into this part of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be joining the PPMO, reporting to the Head of Projects and contributing to the repeatable success of projects, programmes, and professional services engagements (P.S.)
  • Administering back end tooling, producing reports, ensuring the capture of quality real-time information for our customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Joining and contributing on customer conference calls providing support in opening, updating on progress, and closing projects.
  • Adhering to the project governance controls, to ensure a repeatable, successful outcome of our projects and professional services engagements
  • Contribute to a cycle of continual improvement to ensure that the PPMO maintains, and assures the standards of project management processes, tools, quality, reporting and documentation across the company’s implementation projects and professional services engagements.
  • Providing project methodology knowledge-base support for our technical implementation specialists (TIS), assigned to and leading an implementation project/P.S. engagement. This also extends to our sales team in support of service opportunities
  • Monitoring project forecasted targets progress versus actual performance and identify any anomalies for further action
  • Coordinating resources to ensure project activities remain on schedule
  • Reporting on project/P.S. engagement to customers, partners and internal departments
  • Project / P.S. engagement initiation, setting up the tooling and repositories required to deliver, monitor and manage projects
  • Following a period of inhouse training, the project coordinator will develop the skills to undertake project management responsibility for smaller projects and P.S. Engagements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in a project coordinator or similar position
  • This is a permanent role so demonstrating that you have worked in long term positions is desired. If you have been contracting you can apply but preference is on candidates coming from a permanent background.
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting seniors with end to end project based work/ admin.
  • Must be able to juggle a multitude of tasks, there are +20 live3 projects and being able to pick up on blocks, stalls, interferences and clearly communicate this to the Project Manager with some form of resolution is the sort of experience that will do well for this role.
  • Looking for sound, broad knowledge/ experience in the Information Technology sector (knowledge of Networking/ Data Centres/ Infrastructure/ Data/ Cloud/ SAAS products etc)
  • Confident in communicating with different internal teams including Sales & BAU teams
  • Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to work
  • Able to plan, schedule and monitor your own work to meet deadlines
  • Competent using Microsoft Teams, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Experience working with Salesforce & Asana (preferred)
  • Identifies and negotiates own development opportunities
