Test Analyst

Test Analyst – Public Sector / Agile / Hybrid – Newport – £35,000 to £45,000 (Permanent)

VIQU has partnered with a leading public sector organisation based in Newport to recruit a skilled Test Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative digital team working on critical systems that support public services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test strategies, test plans, and scripts across multiple testing phases including functional, regression, integration, and accessibility.

• Manage and resolve defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Mentor junior Test Analysts, maintaining consistency and quality across all test activities.

• Present testing outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in IT or equivalent experience, with an advanced software testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Advanced).

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and defect management processes.

• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting, and API testing tools.

• Experience working within the public sector or other complex environments (desirable).

• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
