Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer –Oldham / Shift Work – £30,000 to £36,000 + 15% Shift Allowance.
VIQU have partnered up with an award-winning network provider who is hiring for a Network Operations Centre Engineer to join their NOC team. The Network Operations Centre Engineer will work in shift patterns to support the NOC environment.
The rotating shift times are as follows: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm to 6am.
The NOC Engineer will be a valuable member of the team to collaborate and interact with stakeholders and cross-functional team members, have a good all-round understanding of Networks and Systems.
Requirements of the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer:
- Previous experience supporting network operations.
- Strong knowledge in networks (Cisco, Meraki or Juniper), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
- Previous experience working with BGP routing protocols.
- MUST be able to drive due to the location.
Responsibilities of the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer:
- Work in a 24/7 shift rotation
- Manage incidents within the company’s network and infrastructure
- Monitor the Network and performance daily
- Troubleshoot any Network issues, fault analysis and hard troubleshooting.
- Conduct 3rd level support to the wider organisation
