2nd Line Engineer

2nd Line Engineer, Reading, £25,000 - £27,000

VIQU are partnered with one of the biggest names within the IT Services space and are working with them secure a 2nd Line Engineer to work on a customer site in Reading offering remote and face to face support for a varied user base. You will work as part of a close knit technical team supporting 400 users.

The 2nd Line Engineer will need experience across 1^st & 2^nd line support, and be confident with PC / Laptop builds. You will be based on the customer site Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm and there is no on-call or out of hours support.

This is a great opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic engineer with 1-2 years’ experience to really enhance their technical skills and can progress into 3^rd line / projects / professional services further down to the line.

Primary day to day responsibilities:

• Perform IMAC’s on PC’s, Printers and Peripherals
• Perform incident investigation and resolution on PC’s, Printer and Peripherals, done remotely and on site
• Perform scripted PC builds when required.

Essential Experience:

• 1 years + experience within a technical support environment
• Experience working with a ticketing system
• Previous experience support users remotely
• Technically familiar with Windows OS – 7, 8 & 10
• Fundamentals with Office 365, Active Directory and SCCM
• Exceptional communication
