Senior IT Support Engineer - £28,000 – £36,000 (Fully onsite)

VIQU are recruiting for a Senior IT Support Engineer to provide essential 2^nd/3^rd line technical support. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining IT systems, assisting staff and students with technical issues, and ensuring a smooth and secure IT environment within schools.

This role would be based in Merseyside, close to Birkenhead and would require the candidate to be on site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior IT Engineer:

• Provide efficient on-site IT support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on computers, networks, and other IT equipment.
• Using Active Directory to manage permissions.
• Set up classrooms and organise IT equipment.
• Get involved with infrastructure upgrades.
• Communicate efficiently to teachers, students, and staff members.

Requirements of the Senior IT Engineer

• 2+ years of experience in a 2^nd line support role.
• Experience using: Active directory, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Windows 10/11, hardware support.
• Knowledge of infrastructure systems and networking.
• MUST be happy to undergo a DBS check.
• MUST have a driving license and own transport
• MUST have prior experience working in an education setting.
