Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – 12 months contract – Inside IR35

My customer requires an Infrastructure Engineer to join them for a period of 12 months.

This Infrastructure Engineer offers Hybrid working, with occasional Data Centre visits required when issues can not be resolved remotely.

Key duties/responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer will include:

• Previous experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer
• Previous experience of working in a Data Centre Environment
• Able to travel and provide on-site support covering both Slough and Reading
• Provide a physical presence in the Data Centres and has the ability to perform updates, upgrades and support Hardware/Software failures
• Resolve incidents with Servers, Networks and Telecoms Infrastructure
• Experience with Windows Server – 2008 – 2022
• Experience with Virtualisation tools such as VMWare
• Hyperconverged Infrastructure experience – Nutanix ideally
• Back-up experience – Ideally Cohesity
• Basic Networking experience
• Basic Firewall experience – Checkpoint firewalls
• Experience with Cloud products would be beneficial – Azure and AWS
• Any Office 365/O365 would be useful
• Any Linux knowledge would be advantageous

My customer is ideally looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to start immediately, however they will wait for 4 weeks for the right person.
