Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 + benefits
We are supporting an award winning consultancyin Hampshire who is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer. This is a mid-senior appointment and you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining their big data infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions that will enable the business to process and analyse vast amounts of data efficiently. They are sepcialists in the transportation and logistics space revolutionising modern day services and software offerings.
We are looking for a strong background in AWS and Databricks specifically.
Responsabilities:

Leading the transition of the company’s data architecture from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack.

Improving the speed and efficiency ofthe product data pipeline.

Improving processes and practices for ingesting and managing vast quantities of fleet operational data.

Creating autonomous, data-driven workflows usingcloud infrastructure and supporting tools.

Working with the DevOps team to deliver agile development and prompt customer onboarding.

Assisting the Analytics team with data challenges using big data processing techniques.

Establishing and promotingdata management best practices and standards.

Being confident to challenge and disagree.
Requirements:

A background in STEM, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BA/BSc level or higher)
- 5 years experience working with AWS and data warehousing

Ideal candidate will have extensive experience with databricks or a similar modern data stack provider.

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

Experience programming in Python and using SQL.

Experience using cloud services for data processing, storage and containerised or scalable compute.
